Our two TSI accredited training courses relating to Under Age Sales enforcement are back. The courses are ideal for Trading Standards Officers, Enforcement Officers, Police Officers, Community Safety Officers Licensing Officers and Town/District Centre Managers. The courses are also suitable for legal professionals working in the retail sector or private practice. The courses are not intended for those practicing in Scotland or Northern Ireland. The courses have been fully updated for the BRDO Code of Practice.

An Introduction to Under Age Sales Enforcement

Monday 9th March 2015 | 9:30 - 16:30 | Reading | £120 + VAT per delegate

The aim of this course is to provide a solid grounding for anyone engaging in Under Age Sales enforcement practice. The course will enable participants to confidently advise businesses on age restrictions, understand appropriate statutory defences and participate in Under Age Sales enforcements activity. It is ideal for anyone new to this activity, engaged through partnerships or simply wanting a refresher with the latest changes in law and practice (including the new BRDO Code of Practice). The course carries TSI CPPD Accreditation for 5 hours.

Advanced Practitioner in Under Age Sales Enforcement

Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th March 2015| 9:30 - 16:30 | Reading | £230 + VAT per delegate

The aim of this two day course is to provide advanced practical training for anyone engaging in or contemplating under age sales enforcement. The course will include live test purchasing in a retail environment in the local community. The course will enable participants to confidently lead under age sales enforcement activity, plan and effectively deploy test purchasing operations, understand health and safety and risk assessment requirements, have knowledge of equipment and surveillance rules and regulations, undertake analysis and investigation of company due diligence systems, advise businesses on under age sales prevention and maintain effective records and policies on under age sales enforcement activity. NOTE: The course presumes that participants have good knowledge of under age sales law and practice and it is recommended (but not mandatory) that participants attend the Introduction to Under Age Sales Enforcement course prior to attending the course. The course carries TSI CPPD Accreditation for 9 hours. The course includes a free copy of our leading publication the Law of Age Restricted Goods in England and Wales.
