Under Age Sales hires new business development expert

We have welcomed a new team member targeted with exploring new areas of business development, and expanding qualifications and training for UK retailers selling age restricted products.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anne-Marie Canham - previously training and development co-ordinator with SPAR for ten years – recently joined the organisation as Sales and Business Development Executive, and will implement her expertise and experience with a view to encouraging UK retailers to place significant importance on on-going compliance and legislation.

Anne-Marie will act as a face-to-face contact for retailers wishing to undertake additional training in age verification policies, and will also be introducing bespoke accredited qualifications with a more flexible approach to the delivery to enable retailers UK-wide to keep up to date with leglislation.

The new position comes two years after Anne-Marie first met our managing director, Tony Allen, where a mutual interest in helping retailers protect their business became apparent.

Anne-Marie said: “Due to financial and time restraints, retailers often fail to undertake the due diligence required to retain their business’ compliance. Tony and I are both of the shared belief that a few simple steps can go a long way in resolving this issue – they simply need access to low cost, efficient training and an understanding of the importance they must place on compliance.

“It’s my mission to get in front of retailers up and down the country – those responsible for protecting young people from potentially harmful products – to arm them with all the assets they might need to take care of their business.

“I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to join the Under Age Sales team, and am looking forward to progressing our collective ideas and initiatives well into the future.”
