This is a nationally recognised BTEC Level 2 Specialist Qualification in preventing under age access to restricted entertainment. It is awarded by Highfield Qualifications; one of the UK's leading awarding organisations for vocational qualifications, work based learning and apprenticeship qualifications. It is recognised by the industry, local authorities and the police.

The award has two knowledge outcomes:

  • Knowledge of the current legislation relating to the sale of age-restricted goods and services, including age-restricted entertainment
  • Knowledge of how to prevent unlawful sales of age-restricted products and services

The course results in a Unit Credit issued under QCF Level 2: QN/601/1119/7, Unit Ref: M/602/2234.

This qualification is aimed at learners working in entertainment locations and who may find themselves confronted by under age customers. It is particularly suited to front line staff in:
